60g Big Bag Wensleydale Curly Locks

£12.50
Regular price £12.50

60g mixed Wensleydale hand dyed locks. Please message me if you have a preference of colours otherwise your pack are popular random colours. Usually 15 different colours.

We hope to average 13 – 21cm (5 - 8 inches) with a lovely curl for these dyed locks. The locks are a mixture of good structure lambs locks and shearling locks. The locks are not pulled – but you should easily manage to do this. If this is your first time using longwool locks then please look at ‘you tube’ where you will find so much information on how to pull locks or send us a quick message and we are happy to help.

This is a natural product and hand dyed. Every fleece is individual and every pot of dye is made to order. We dye in small batches and try our very best to keep a continuity of colour. Some factors affecting this continuity are the differences in each fleece and also the time of the year that the wool is dyed.

We like to keep a large range of colours, vibrant and/or soft colour choices. These locks are perfect for a range of projects including dolls hair, mermaid’s tails, needle felting, weaving, lock spinning – etc … so versatile.

Before washing and dyeing, these lustrous locks are selected and hand sorted and graded by me personally and only the strongest and best of the fibre is used. Locks can be individually pulled making this an ideal craft supply for dolls hair, decoration, weaving and spinning.

Packaging

Wherever possible we will use paper packaging

However, Europe, US, Canada and Rest of World, it is not always possible to use paper due to the soft contents of the package.  If this is the case, we use 90 micron polythene mailbags.  Recycling guide: LDPE 4 (Low density polyethylene).

Low-density polyethylene, or LDPE, is number 4-coded plastic, commonly used to manufacture shopping bags, dry cleaning bags and flexible bottles and lids.  Although not as commonly recycled as number 1 polyethylene terephthalate or number 2 high-density polyethylene, LDPE recycling is gaining traction as its post-consumer uses increase. One use is combining recycled LDPE with wood to create composite lumber suitable for light applications. All these plastics can be recycled into different products, but of the three, LDPE results in the most greenhouse gas savings when it's recycled.

But please - do not put number 4 LDPE plastic into a recycling bin unless you are sure it is accepted. Otherwise, you could contaminate an entire batch of recycled plastic.

UK Shipping - we use Royal Mail for shipping and unfortunately in recent months the costs have increased significantly.  For bulk orders I can use courier services and keep the costs to a minimum - please message for a quote.

International Shipping

We always try to keep our costs to a minimum.  We usually use Royal Mail Tracked, which does not include Signed.  We are given a proof of postage which includes your address details and the weight of your parcel, but you do not sign for your parcel which is the preferred way since Covid.  This service is cost effective and very reliable.  However, we cannot accept responsibility for your goods once they have left the UK with this service.

If you would prefer your order to be sent International Tracked & Signed then please message me with your order.    Using this service your order will be fully tracked with signature on delivery and the added cost for this service is low.
